Welcome to the office of County Clerk. The County Clerk has a wide range of responsiblities. This office maintains both current and historic records, issues notary commissions issued by the Missouri Secretary of State, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Elections, Voter Registration, reports Assessed Valuations to all polictical subdivisions, issue County Liquor Licenses, issues Auctioneer Licenses, Secretary to Board of Equaliztion and Board of Appeals and many other responsibilities to numerous to mention.
Historic records: Birth and Death records from 1883 to 1888; School records from 1930 to 1985; Census Records; County Commission Records.
Notary Public Information: We have notary handbooks that you may pick up in our office. In the handbook are applications that you will need to fill out and send to the Missouri Secretary of State's office. There is an computer based or written notary training that must be completed. The Secretary of State mails us your notary commission. You must bring in your $10,000 bond and $3.00 fee to our office to sign your oath and receive your commission. The notary commission link to the left will take you to the Secretary of States office for more notary information.
Auctioneer License fees: 10 Days - $5.00; 1 month - $10.00; 3 months - $20.00; 6 months - $30.00; 12 months - $50.00. Plus an issuance fee of $3.00 for each license.
